ABOUT: Our Staff

Jim Fishback

President

I started in the piano industry at age 10 by working for a dealer in Omaha, NE demonstrating organs at outside events. For over 40 years, I’ve been helping clients to find the right instrument for their needs whether it is a child learning to play or an adult who would like to experience the joy and relaxation of making their own music. It is so rewarding watching people and families grow and come together through music.

I’m excited by all of the exciting changes in the piano industry over the years, especially with Yamaha. With all of the new technology such as Disklavier TV and radio, Hybrid pianos, wireless iPad connectivity to certain instruments, and much more, it makes selling the products fun and exciting.

Nicholas Estrada

Director of Institutional Solutions

I’ve been around music my whole life and grew up in a house full of musicians. I started playing trumpet at the age of ten. I attended Clovis East High School, where I was very active with the music program there. I was in the Marching Band, Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble, and took various other classes.

High school is where I decided I wanted to pursue a career in music. I became a music education major at Fresno State. Here, I took numerous music classes. I was very involved in the bands at Fresno State. I was in the Wind Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Bulldog Beat, Marching Band, Jazz Band, and many other smaller ensembles outside of Fresno State. College is where I began to pick up on other instruments, including the piano. As a music major at Fresno State, students are required to pass a piano proficiency. This test includes such techniques as sight reading, proper fingering, and accompaniment. After I passed all the necessary classes as a music education major, I was able to complete my senior recital, which I had in 2010. My senior recital consisted of such trumpet pieces from Eric Ewazen, Rafael Mendez, and Johann Nepomuk Hummel.

I am still playing my trumpet, it is a love I will not ever let go. I do have Fresno State to thank for opening my mind to other instruments and giving me opportunities throughout the last few years. Ultimately, becoming a Yamaha piano representative is extremely exciting and I look forward to helping to select the right piano for you!

Matt Hubble

Percussionist and Private Music Instructor

Music has been an integral part of my life as long as I can remember. I started playing percussion and guitar when I was 11 years old and it has been a passion of mine ever since. I attended Golden West High School in Visalia and enrolled at CSU Fresno in 2003 to study music education. It was during my time at CSUF that I picked up the piano as an integral part of my studies. While there, I performed as a part of several bands and ensembles including the CSU Fresno Wind Orchestra, Bulldog Marching Band, Bulldog Beat, and Jazz Bands. I have performed across the nation with Fresno State and several other touring groups and currently maintain a position in the Worship Team at my church as the regular drummer and percussionist.

I worked for 2 years as an instrumental music aide as part of Clovis Unified School District, where I assisted in the band and orchestral education of 5th and 6th grade students. It was at CUSD that I was able to really hone my skills as a music educator.

I am looking forward to using my musical knowledge and experience to help you find the best piano for you and your family.
